Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders and real estate enterprises in the country, announced it hired Mark Penny as General Manager for Dallas. Mr. Penny will be responsible for partnering with Dallas COO Mark Reed and the operations and functional teams to expand Suffolk’s presence in Texas and drive the region’s business planning and development, market analysis and talent recruitment efforts.
“We are thrilled Mark has joined our team to strengthen our presence and leadership position in the Dallas market,” said John Fish, Chairman and CEO of Suffolk. “His strong leadership, experience with sophisticated projects, expansive network and reputation for exceptional client service made him an ideal choice to lead our organization’s efforts in this strategic regional market.”
Prior to joining the Suffolk Dallas team, Mr. Penny served as the head of construction in the Central and Rocky Mountain regions for Katerra Construction, where he was responsible for all projects in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Colorado. Bush Presidential Center on the Southern Methodist University Dallas campus, and Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport’s $1 billion terminal renovation. He has held leadership positions in the areas of business development, operational efficiencies, preconstruction, employee training and engagement, client satisfaction and project management in the aviation, corporate, retail, residential and sports sectors.
